CM0512 Visible Critical Leaders

The Visible Critical Leaders programme is an eight day core simulation programme supported with individual leadership coaching sessions designed to affect learning and development within a 6 month period. The programme is for Band 6 and 7 practitioners who are developing their management and leadership role. Participants will gain from information that is transposed into “how to” simulations that combine clinical management challenges, complex communication, business skills, complex workforce issues and ongoing visible leadership.

The active approach is supportive and immerses the participant in decision making and problem solving in a fun and dynamic learning environment. A specifically designed dashboard of skills and knowledge is used with each individual to promote an understanding and responsibility for ongoing skill development and growth. Positive criteria for exceptional performance are enhanced through group learning. The programme has been peer reviewed by senior practitioners and Managers to create a programme that truly prepares practitioners for the future role requirements of clinical leadership that needs to provide a visible and critical difference. The programme was designed originally for the Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Participants have found the programme to be very motivating and to bring leadership to life for their practice.
