CM0515 - Band 7 Development Programme

The Band 7 Development Programme focuses on you and your personal skills and abilities to manage and lead your service or ward. There is an emphasis on how your leadership & management make a difference in quality of care outcomes, patient satisfaction and your personal resilience and sustainability.

The programme is run over 3 months and has a total of 5 study days spread through that period. You will have an opportunity to form a network of support and positive development and will be able to share new practice and solve more complex management issues.

You will gain:

• Opportunity to understand and develop your leading edge
• An understanding of managerial competence; intellectual, presentational, motivational & personal style
• Methods for getting the most out of your team & goal setting
• Methods for supervising & coaching others
• Greater understanding of business principles applied to care delivery

The course is further supported through interlinked action oriented activities that enable participants to explore specific personal development goals including:

• Critical Incident Management techniques
